Banisteriopsis Muricata (Yage, Peruvian Red) Vine Segments

Several Malpighiales species fall in the group of vines that are commonly called “caapi” vine. Although banisteriopsis caapi is the true “Caapi”, there are four main colors of caapi vine (red, white, black and yellow).  Of those, there are two red types. There is banisteriopsis muricata, and there is Sky Blue.  Sky blue is an ironic name since the vine itself is very red. The cross section of the vine, though, is easily distinguishable from banisteriopsis and alicia vines. The circles within the circle of the vine’s diameter give the resemblance of a paw. We have even recently acquired a yellow version of this same vine, that is nicknamed “Yellow Tiger’s Paw”.   We have a huge selection of caapi vine, including live plants and seeds. We offer the vines themselves in all four colors in whole, powdered and shredded forms.

Banisteriopsis Caapi (Yellow Tiger’s Paw) Vine Powder (WHOLESALE)

There are a wide range of other Malpighiales species that are commonly called “caapi”. It was formerly thought that these were all different varieties of banisteriopsis. But it seems there are other genera as well.  This is very unique variety we are nicknaming “Yellow Tiger’s Paw”. The cross section of the vine resembles a tiger’s paw.  We suspect that it may be a species of tetraptery. It is not an actual variety of banisteriopsis caapi. And Yellow Tiger’s paw actually looks like Sky Blue vine, only it is yellow. Sky blue, despite the name, is red.  Although this is for powdered vine, we are including an image of the cross section in the gallery.  We began noticing this variety appear in mixed batches of vine. There does nto appear to be any specific local name for it. But we always seek to further the research of new plants, and we decided to get a little bit to offer. We are offering this in addition to our many other caapi and related products.

Mitragyna Speciosa (Kratom) Liquid Super Concentrate – 75mg/ml (1 fl oz. Bottle)

Kratom is one of our most popular products. This super concentrate is not for beginners. This is the most concentrated liquid available. It is made in a lab with the same pure isolate in our tablets, which is a full spectrum isolate. That means is has the full alkaloid profile that is found in leaf. The liquid is brought to full saturation. That means it contains the most amount of isolate that will remain suspended in liquid. Each one milliliter dropper contains 75mg of isolate. A single bottle contains as much alkaloid as about 15 of the standard “alkaloid suspension” bottles, which typically retail for about $15 a piece in stores. So this small bottle contains quite a bit. Given the purity and concentrated nature of this liquid, it has a rather fast absorption rate. We offer these bottles in red, white and green vein alkaloid. It is not recommended to exceed more than one 1ml  dropper at a time to start and no more than 3ml per day.

PLEASE NOTE***** WHEN ORDERING THE COMBO 10-BOTTLE OPTION, JUST SPECIFY CLEARLY WITH PAYMENT HOW MANY OF EACH COLOR YOU PREFER.

Mitragyna Speciosa (Kratom) 50mg Isolate Tablets – 30 ct. Bottle

Kratom is one of our most popular products. We were among the first to ever offer this type of product, which continues to be rare. Some sellers have pressed raw powder, which seems very impractical because with the necessary binders, you can fit more powder in a capsule than a tablet.  These tablets are made with our pure kratom isolate, which is a full spectum isolate containing the natural profile of alkaloids in the plant.  Tablets have a slower onset than liquid and is suitable for those who cannot bear the taste of powders or extracts or who cannot manage large amounts of capsules. Many new users may find these to be an easy introduction to kratom. Each tablet contains 50mg of isolate, which is equal to a few grams of natural powder or several size 00 capsules. Each bottle contains 30 tablets, and these are available in green, red and white vein.

Turnera Difussa (Damiana) 10:1 Tincture – 15ML Bottle

Turnera diffusa, commonly known as Damiana, is an aromatic herb native to Central and South America. Damiana users seek it out for sedative and aphrodisiac properties. Considering this purpose, damiana is also referred to as Turnera Aphrodisiaca, and it was reportedly used by the Mayans to enhance sexual experiences. Damiana’s reputation as a sex herb may be connected to reports that it dilates blood vessels. Damiana reportedly mixes well with other calming herbs such as passion flower, skullcap and chamomile, and it is a common additive to smoking blends or teas. In addition to the aforementioned uses, damiana is also employed as a cough suppressant, stomach herb, anti-depressant herb and an anti-anxiety herb. Zornia Latifolia (Maconha Brava) 10:1 Tincture -15ml Bottle

Zornia Lateriflora is currently gaining attention amongst ethno botanical collectors after hiding in the jungles of South America (especially Brazil) and Mexico where it was traditionally used as a relaxant and a sleep-inducer. There are some indications that zornia may even work well with dreaming. Natively, this perennial herb is known as zornia diphylla, maconha brava or barba de burro, and it is believed to have been used by Ancient Gods in that region. In fact, the herb appears in Albert Hoffman and Richard Evan Schultes? legendary book, Plants of the Gods. Like baybean, it is considered a good and versatile mixing herb. We are proud to be one of the few privileged vendors to offer this natural rarity.

Salvia Apiana (White Sage) Tincture – 15ml Bottle

Salvia Apiana, known as White Sage, Desert Sage or Sacred Sage is a perennial evergreen native to the deserts of the southwestern U.S. and northwestern Mexico. It is typically found along the coast and likes dry slopes up to well over 5000 feet above sea level. It is quite cold hardy, reportedly withstanding temperatures down to 12 degrees Fahrenheit. On the other hand, it can reportedly tolerate heat up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit and is adapted to handle drought. The plant forms rosettes of silvery white leaves and typically measures about 2-3 feet in height. The flower spikes, rising from the center of the rosette and containing clusters of dull white flowers, can bring the plant?s height to about six feet. It takes three years to reach flowering age. This species is perhaps the North American Indian?s most significant sage. Native Americans used the seeds for flour and to cleanse the eyes. The aromatic leaves were used in cooking and as a medicine. The leaves were smoked or consumed as a tea to treat a variety of ailments including sore throats, colds, and inflammation. Perhaps the most significant thing about this species is that it was bundled and used as a smudging herb to cleanse the air of evil spirits and protect against poor judgment. It is still popular today.

This is a white sage tincture made from our California-grown leaf. Each bottle contains 15ml.

Nymphaea Caerulea (Blue Lotus) Organic Crushed Flowers WHOLESALE

Nymphaea Caerulea, which is a synonym for the more proper nymphaea nouchali var. caerulea, derives from the banks of the Nile River and has many similarities to nelumbo nucifera. Because of these similarities, the two are frequently confused. However, nymphaea caerulea, which is frequently called blue lotus, is in fact a water lily and not a lotus. The fact that they are both referred to as “sacred” and have similar narcotic and sedative properties coupled with the fact that nelumbo nucifera actually does have a blue variety adds to the confusion. Like nelumbo nucifera, nymphaea is symbolically significant, and it has frequently been depicted in ancient Egyptian art and temples. It is very likely that caerulea is the legendary psychoactive lotus depicted in Homer’s Odyssey. Used similarly, the active principles of nymphaea caerulea are reportedly analogous to those in nelumbo nucifera petals, which is said to produce feelings of relaxation, clarity, lightness and well-being. The  nymphaea caerulea seeds are drastically smaller than those of nelumbo. Nymphaea caerulea petals are also skinnier which makes them appear pointy and triangular, whereas nelumbo nucifera petals are fatter and rounder. The cool blue hue of nymphaea caerulea flowers also makes the plant seem mystical and surreal, so it is no wonder it has been chosen for symbolic significance throughout history. This product contains high quality dried nymphaea caerulea flowers, meaning that they have retained their vibrant color and sweet aroma after drying. We have encountered other products that are brownish and dirty or that have insects. Our blue lotus flowers are colorful and have a good scent.

Erythrina Mulungu (Mulungu Bark) 10:1 Tincture (15ml)

Erythrina Mulungu is a medicinal tree native to Brazil whose bark is used primarily for sedation and anti-anxiety effects. A close relative, erythrina verna, is also known as mulungu and is used similarly. Mulungu has long been a part of traditional medicine in countries like Brazil, Peru, Columbia and Argentina. Only recently has it started gaining attention in the U.S. by those interested in herbal remedies. Among its primary uses in the U.S., mulungu is hepa-protective, meaning that it has been shown to protect the liver. The fact that it has been shown to protect the liver makes it unique as an anti-anxiety remedy. Mulungu has been compared to kava kava (piper methysticum) in its action as a natural anxiety treatment, although its effects are noticeably different. Some might say that mulungu is much more tranquilizing than kava. Acting on the GABA receptors in the brain, mulungu has shown through research to have effects similar to the tranquilizer, diazepam. As a result, it is used as a treatment for epilepsy, heart palpitations and muscle spasms. Mulungu is hypotensive, meaning that it lowers blood pressure. This may benefit those suffering from high blood pressure, but it could negatively impact those already with low blood pressure. Mulungu has a tendency to cause drowsiness, which means that it can be used to combat insomnia. But it can impair one’s ability to operate a motor vehicle or machinery. Its sleep-inducing properties may be compared to melatonin or corydalis. Similarly, both mulungu and corydalis are used for pain relief. Mulungu is anti-inflammatory as well. Additionally, mulungu has anti- microbial properties that have led to its use in fighting uninary tract infections. Powdered mulungu bark has an attractive, spicy scent that is reminiscent of muira puama.

This product is a 10:1 herbal tincture using our high quality Brazilian mulungu powder. Each bottle contains 15ml. We also carry raw mulungu powder and shredded bark.

Sceletium Tortuosum (Kanna) 10:1 Tincture (15ml)

Sceletium Tortuosum is a mesemb succulent native to South Africa, where it was historically chewed by the local people for mood elevation. Sceletium, or kanna , has captured the attention of researchers and is sometimes used today as a natural alternative to chemical antidepressants. Unfortunately, widespread interest in the plant has led to over-harvesting and endangerment. It is a specialty plant that is hard to find in nurseries or garden centers. Despite that, kanna is easy to maintain and makes a great houseplant. It grows rather quickly and can even flower just by placing it in a sunny window. Outside it is drought-tolerant and may be able to survive a brief frost, although precautions should be taken to avoid this if possible. The small flowers are delicately beautiful and can vary in color but are typically white or yellow. Kilos will be dropshipped from our distributor.  Kanna should not be combined with MAOI’s or SSRI’sNO SALES TO LOUISIANA. (Contact us if you have an approved use.)

This product is a 10:1 herbal tincture using our high quality South African kanna powder. Each bottle contains 15ml. We also carry a high-quality 25x kanna resin extract, powdered kanna foliage and kanna seeds.

As it grows, your kratom plant will require increasingly more light to feed each new leaf and inch of growth. Keeping up the momentum of these light needs will help the plant keep up its outward expansion. The more and better quality of light you provide, the more you may reap the rewards of vigorous growth of a happy kratom plant. Under ideal conditions, kratom is a fast grower. So while you may buy yourself some time initially by using the light you have available, you will have to decide how you want to invest in the future of your plant. This guide will help you choose.

A simple compact fluorescent (CFL) bulb, which are the spiral bulbs you commonly see, or a household LED, will work while the plant is still within the first foot or so. If you’re on a tight budget, this would keep it alive as it gets larger too. You are not absolutely forced into buying lights, but you might want to consider a plan to upgrade along the way. Choose something that is at least full spectrum or has more of a focus on the blue spectrum, since that is the spectrum responsible for vegetative growth. Red spectrums are best for flowering. Since you are not flowering kratom, you need only to focus on vegetative growth.

Bulbs classified as “daylight” or “cool” are typically highest in the blue spectrums. Household bulbs are the cheapest. But you can get much better results with something with a higher output of light and more specifically geared towards growing plants. Since the human eye focuses primarily on the light spectrums in the middle of the rainbow, household lighting may not cater to the “unseen” spectrums that plants rely on for photosynthesis and other metabolic processes. But if you buy household bulbs with a concentration on the blue spectrums, they will get you by until you decide to upgrade.

For many years, before lighting advancements and rising popularity of indoor growing, indoor growers frequently used fluorescent light tubes for growing plants. You can use them for multiple plants at once. Fluorescent lighting, specifically in the blue spectrum, is generally considered suitable for vegetative growth. It would be perfectly fine for growing healthy kratom plants. The tubes will give a higher output than standard bulbs, and you can connect them to the undersides of shelves for plants on the shelf below or hang them from a chain, so you can adjust the height according to the growth of the plant.

Fluorescent tubes come in different thicknesses. The most commonly used fluorescent tube for lighting is the T8, which is an inch in diameter. But T5’s are considered the most ideal for plants as they cover a wider area and produce more output for less energy. There is also a T5HO tube, which is even more efficient. Clearly, the more efficiency you have, the more you will save in electric bills, and the more your plant will benefit. But with that said, LED’s are the least expensive option to run.

LED efficiency has seemingly made it the light type of choice for the majority of indoor growing both recreationally and commercially. It makes discussing options such as high pressure sodium or metal halide in this guide virtually useless, except to say that they are more expensive options. The ballasts and setups for these bulbs and the electricity usage are much more costly. You might expect to pay about $60 to $200 for a basic LED setup geared towards growing plants. But if you want something really top of the line, we recommend Electric Sky LED GROW Lights. There are 2 models, including a more professional setup (ES300). You can get top results with these, and they end up paying for themselves as compared to other types of lighting. If you’re growing anything for business purposes, this is absolutely the best option. It might be a little expensive initially, but when you consider the energy savings and the fact that it is the most tailored towards growing plants, it is actually more economical. The setup for fluorescent lighting will probably be about $50 by the time you consider the cost of the tubes and the fixture. A more extensive system can be $200. But aside from higher energy costs, you have to replace the bulbs more often, especially if you leave them on for long periods of time. The bulbs can be a good part of the whole cost that you will have to spends over again. Fluorescents also contain mercury, which is hazardous to the environment, especially if the bulbs break in your home or office. LEDs tend to last a decade or more, even when on for half the day. They do not contain mercury, and their power usage is only a fraction of that of fluorescent lighting.

Now that you have an idea of the common forms of lighting available, you should be able to select the best option that meets your budget. The most efficient bulbs are those that use the least energy for the most output and do not need replacing as often. These benefit the environment as well. This is good for your wallet and good for the planet. While fluorescent and LED are both viable options for growing plants, LED’s, whether in a single household lightbulb or a full setup, provide not only better output, but they are cheaper to run and last longer. So in most cases, LED makes the most financial and environmental sense whether in your home or your grow space. But with some LED setups geared to aid flowering, just be sure the one you choose is focused most on the blue spectrum.

Trichocereus Pachanoi (San Pedro Cactus) Seeds BULK

Trichocereus Pachanoi is perhaps the most famous of the trichocereus species. This easy-to-grow, ornamental, columnar cactus is popular for a variety of reasons. San Pedro cactus is a sacred symbol among the various peoples of its native habitat, which stretches from the Andes of Peru to Bolivia to Ecuador. A common landscaping cactus, trichocereus pachanoi is also tolerant of a wide variety of conditions and can handle more water and fertilization than most cacti, making it a good cactus species for beginners. Trichocereus pachanoi’s small spines also make San Pedro Cactus easier to handle for those who are not experienced with dealing with sharp spines or those who have curious kids or pets that may be injured by larger spines. Additionally, San Pedro cactus is a rapid grower, making it a favorite grafting stock for speeding up the progress of slower-growing cacti such as astrophytum and ariocarpus. Under ideal conditions, San Pedr cactus can grow up to 18 inches per year and will readily shoot off new pups (branches). Frost hardy to about 26 degrees Fahrenheit, San Pedo cacti can be raised outdoors all year in Zone 9 or warmer. Otherwise, it should be kept in medium to large pots that can be moved inside during the winter months. Trichocereus pachanoi can be watered frequently during the summer months, sometimes as often as every two days if the top inch or two of the soil is dry. During the winter, your San Pedro cactus should be slowly acclimated to cool, dry, dark conditions to avoid stretching that could damage the aesthetics and structural integrity of the plant. When breaking dormancy in the spring, a reverse process of slowly introducing the factors necessary for growth may be beneficial for the same reason. For optimal skin color, trichocereus pachanoi should be kept in partial rather than full sun and the soil should be well-draining and rich in organic nutrients and minerals. Pachanoi blooms are large, white and have a strong, pleasant perfume.

Trichocereus pachanoi grown from seeds typically have larger spines than the so-caled PC (predomiant cultivar) clone of trichocereus pachanoi.  The PC clone is usually reproduced by cuttings, so it maintains it’s small spine feature.  The PC pachanoi has been in cultivation in this country for many decades and has become easy to recognize, but it is not how trichocereus pachanoi appears in nature. Wild trichocereus pachanoi typically resemble more of what people expect of trichocereus peruvianus. The spines tend to be brown and longer. There is also more variety as cross pollination increases the gene pool. So when growing trichocereus pachanoi from seed, these types of variations are to be expected.

Piper Methysticum (Kava Kava) Premium Noble Kava Root Blend Powder WHOLESALE

This is certified Noble Kava blend craftfully blended by one of our long-time contacts who operates a kava bar. This is superior to a lot of the kava we have seen in the last few years. This is a limited-time product while supplies last.

Kava (Piper Methysticum) is a vine indigenous to the islands of the west Pacific where it is used socially by locals and is a very big part of their everyday lives. The roots of this plant are what is used and the traditional brew is made by squeezing the pulverized roots through a fine cloth repeatedly in cold water. Today, powdered root and extracts are also used in many parts of the world for the treatment of anxiety and insomnia. Many users say that it has a quick acting and noticeably calming effect on the nerves.

***Although there have been reports of Kava being associated with liver toxicity. Recent reports have shown that it is the use of the stems and leaves of the plant and not the roots themselves that cause this, parts which are not used indigenously. None of our products contain the stems or leaves. All of our products are made solely from Kava roots.

Silene Capensis (African Dream Root) – LIVE PLANT

Silene Capensis, also known as Silene Undulata, is a perennial herb whose roots were used extensively as a dream herb (aka. oneirogenic) by healers native to the river valleys of South Africa’s Eastern Cape. Silene capensis is said to be more effective than calea zacatechichi, with reports of activity at only 250mg. Silene capensis plants form short rosettes from the ground eventually producing attractive white flowers. The flowers fall to be replaced by a capsule that will contain the small round seeds. We offer seed-grown silene capensis roots started from our own seed stock. DRIED SILENE CAPENSIS ROOTS ALSO AVAILABLE!

Growing Information: Silene Capensis is a relatively easy plant to grow. This dream root does best in fertile, well-drained soil.  Compost works well. Silene Capensis likes a lot of water, but good drainage is essential for avoiding root rot. You also want  adequate room for root growth. Growing in a raised bed is ideal. If you leave them in pots, your dream herb plants can be brought indoors in the winter in cooler climates. However, we have had silene capensis plants survive being covered in snow, and they have proven to survive New York winters. Trimming the tops will promote root growth.

Nymphaea Ampla (White Waterlily) Organic Dried Flowers

Nymphaea Ampla is similar to nymphaea caerulea (sacred blue waterlily) both in appearance and in its traditional use. Ampla is reported to have some of the same alkaloids in the roots and bulbs. Nymphaea Ampla is also referred to as white lotus, although it is a waterlily. This is perhaps because lotus also has similar properties and traditional use as well as a similar appearance. http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1079300

The seeds of nymphaea are drastically smaller than those of nelumbo. The petals are also skinnier which makes them appear pointy and triangular, whereas those of nelumbo are fatter and rounder.

This product contains fresh dried organic flowers from Thailand. We also have ampla stamens available.   WE ALSO OFFER VARIOUS OTHER LOTUS / NYMPHAEA PRODUCTS, INCLUDING SEEDS, STAMENS, PETALS AND EXTRACTS.

Bursera Graveolens (Palo Santo) Premium CHIPS

This listing is for palo santo chips. This is the same wood as our thin sticks and chunks. These smaller pieces come from splitting sticks. That means they vary in size and shape, and they are ideal for quick occasions where you do not need a whole stick.  Smaller pieces can be easier to light, and a little goes a long way. You can even keep them in the bathroom to help clear the air.

The use of Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) is traditional in South America, especially in Ecuador. According to the local customs, it is used against the “mala energia” (bad energy) (“Palo Santo para limpiar tu casa de la mala energia, Palo Santo para la buena suerte” or “Palo Santo to clean your house of bad energy, Palo Santo for good luck”), which may sometimes refer to clinical disease. Its use reportedly dates back to the Inca era. Palo Santo is common today as a type of incense.

Palo santo may be burned, similar to incense, by lighting shavings of palo santo wood. In Peru, a shaman, or medicine man, reportedly lights palo santo sticks and the rising smoke will enter the “energy field” of ritual participants to “clear misfortune, negative thoughtprints, and ‘evil spirits'”. Peruvians harvest fallen branches and twigs of the B. graveolens tree, a practice that is regulated by the government of Peru, so trees are not cut for wood harvesting. The charcoal of palo santo sticks can also be used for ritual smudging.

Trichocereus Chiloensis x Pachanoi var Monstrose Live Cactus (DISPLAYING PLANT)

World Seed Supply is excited to offer these amazing hybrid seedlings grown from our own seed stock under Electric Sky LED Grow Lights. We are offering several different selections of hybrid trichocereus seedlings. This particular cross is one of the most morphable cacti we have grown. Different specimens can vary widely from one another, and can drastically change appearance over time. Some specimens have a growth pattern similar to the so-call Penis Plant (Trichocereus bridgesii var. Monstrose). Others have more of a cresting pattern, and plants can change between the two. Some are more columnar and others more compact. We highly recommend these if you are looking for something cool, and they also have San Pedro cactus genetics.  We also offer non-displaying seedlings from this batch for a lower cost.

Trichocereus chiloensis x pachanoi monstrose is one of several trichocereus monstrose hybrid seedlings we offer. Monstrose is a term that refers to mutated growth patterns on cacti. These patterns form unique specimens with extreme aesthetic value. Usually this type of growth is reproduced by cloning, but this mutation can be passed down by seed. For this particular cross, a trichocereus chiloensis was used as the mother plant, and it was pollinated with trichocereus pachanoi monstrose pollen. Chiloensis is known for partiularly large spines, and it is an unusual choice for hybridization, making these particular hybrid cactus seeds even more unique.

Intentionally hybridized Cacti are highly sought-after by cactus collectors because of their rarity. Many hybrids also combine genetics of different species to form superior specimens that contain the more desirable qualities of both parents. For instance, you may get the increased growth speed of one species combined with the spine length or coloration that is characteristic of the other species. For collector’s, their fascination with hybrid cacti can be the pursuit of superior specimens, to the aesthetic mixing to simple rarity. with hybrids, you go from a set number of existing species to a seemingly endless list of possible combinations. . Although people don’t usually think of cacti for their flowers, trichocereus flowers undoubtedly rival the most impressive flowers of any other type of plant out there. We also offer other crosses with both of these parent plants.  ACTUAL SPECIMENS MAY VARY FROM PICTURE.

Morus Nigra (Black Mulberry) Seeds

Black Mulberry is one of the most productive sources of fruit in zones 7-10. Ideal for permaculture, mulberry trees can grow quickly once established. They can take up to ten years to fruit, but they ultimately produce bounties of berries, especially compared to raspberry and blackberry bushes. Mulberry trees become full sized trees, not just bushes. They are a good long-term investment. Even the leaves can be used medicinally. They are the sole food source for silkworms, and they also help support bird and animal life. They can tolerate light shade. Multiple trees may help increase productivity, and they can be reproduced via softwood cuttings in the spring.  Plant in an area where the fruits can fall and be collected and where it will not create a mess, such as over a driveway or patio.  Instead an area with low grass may be more ideal, especially since it can insulate falling berries.

Growing Information: These seeds benefit from cold stratification. They can be naturally stratified outdoors over the winter or in early spring, or you can soak them in water for 24 hours and then put them in the fridge for 90 days before surface sowing.

Copal is a type of resin produced from plant sap, often from members of the genuses copaifera, bursera and hymenaea. The term, “copal” is particularly identified with the aromatic tree resins used by the cultures of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica who burned it in ceremonies as a spiritual incense to clear out negative vibes, or in other words “evil spirits”. It has also been used to promote spirituality. It is used in both formal ceremony as well as prior to meditation. Both black and white copal are used for these purposes. The word copal is derived for the Nahuatl language word copali which translates into ‘incense’. Nelumbo Nucifera (Sacred Lotus) Organic White Flower TEA CUT Petals

Sacred lotus has many similarities to and is frequently confused with Nymphaea Caerulea. Sacred Lotus has long been celebrated as a religious and mythological symbol. In both Buddhism and Hinduism the lotus has spiritual meaning. As the national flower of India, Hindus associate it with fertility, rebirth, purity and beauty. It is said that Buddhists, who view it as an object of meditation and transcendence, borrowed the symbolic significance of the flower from Hindus. Perhaps nucifera’s reputation as a symbol of fertility is best represented in its seeds’ ability to retain viability for extreme periods of time. According to the Sailsbury University Arboretum, a 1,288-year-old nucifera seed from an ancient lake bed in China is the oldest known of all seeds to germinate. Its mysticism may also be linked to the mild narcotic or sedative effects from flowers that are eaten, smoked or steeped in wine and drank. In addition to having an incredible list of medicinal applications from helping premature ejaculation to having anticancer properties to helping cramps and digestion, all parts of the plant are considered edible and appear widely in Asian cuisine.

This product contains fresh dried white lotus petals imported from Thailand. These petals ar ein tea cut form. WE also offer whole petals. WE ALSO OFFER VARIOUS OTHER LOTUS / NYMPHAEA PRODUCTS, INCLUDING SEEDS, STAMENS, PETALS AND EXTRACTS. CONTACT FOR WHOLESALE PRICING

Synaptolepis Kirkii (ZULU / Xhosa African Dream Root) Root WHOLE

THIS ITEM IS WHOLE KIRKII ROOT CHUNKS. WE ALSO OFFER POWDERED ROOT

Synaptolepis Kirkii roots is a  sacred plant whose roots have traditionally been used by South African tribes such as the Zulu and Xhosa for supernatural mental abilities, divination and ancestral contact. Known indigenously as Uuma-Omholpe, Kirkii is similar to another South African ethnobotanical root, silene capensis, since both roots (ubulawu) are used as a lucid dreaming aids. Synaptolepis Kirikii therefore joins silene capensis and calea zacatechichi, a plant native to the Oaxacan mountains of Mexico, in the class of substances known as oneirogens. All of these are available from World Seed Supply.

These lucid dreaming substance are typically characterized by assisting with deep sleep, enhanced dream activity, increased dream recall and ultimately lucid dreaming. They are tools that can have varying effects depending on the individual and which usually are most effective as part of a regular regimen. The ultimate goal is to be able to recognize a dream in progress and control its direction. Mastery of this is a true super power since one could conceivably do anything at this point, including have the ability to fly.

The compound, kirkinine, has been isolated from Kirkii root, and studies indicate it has “potent” neurotropic activity with a potential for neuroprotective capacities. The botanical name even seems to hint at the word “synapse”.   An increase in brain function could explain some of the herb’s nighttime “magical powers” and give merit to the traditional claims of supernatural mental abilities. But it also gives hope for more modern use of the herb as something to help offset some the wear and tear from old age and even work as a study aid or brain boost where it might be helpful.  So it is more than your average dreaming herb in terms of being a tonic herb. Best of all, it seems the herb can be active in amounts as low as 300mg for some people, and it is quite palatable compared to the very bitter calea zacatechichi. The root is usually made as a tea taken 2-3 times per day or sometimes just before bed.

Synaptolepis kirkii is by far the rarest of the three dream herbs that most people know about.  Most people, if they know of any, know of calea zacatechichi. Some of those people also know about silene capensis. But Kirkii is still a hidden treasure for most, and it is quite difficult to find. We have been working for many years to bring to market the hidden herbal treasures from around the world. World Seed Supply is proud to be able to offer South African-grown Synaptolepis  kirkii.

Chamaelirium Luteum (False Unicorn Root) Herb Powder

False Unicorn is a perennial herb in the genus Chamaelirium, and it is native to the eastern United States. The plant, which is known for its long feathery flower, has a long history of traditional use among Native Americans as a female tonic herb. Supply is generally limited compared to demand, so it is more expensive than a lot of other herbs. Many who use it, however, agree that it is worth the cost. Our prices are very competitive price compared to most sources.  False unicorn is listed as an emmenogouge, which is a substance that increases blood flow to the pelvic region. This could help explain how it has traditionally been regarded by native tribes as a tonic herb for the female reproductive system, including support with menstruation, menopause, morning sickness and fertility. It’s traditional use has primarily been amongst women, but some indicate a potential benefit for men too.  There can certainly be benefits to increased bloodflow to the pelvic region for men too. False Unicorn should never be used during pregnancy because it can cause loss of pregnancy by causing uterine contractions, even though it has been used traditionally to help with morning sickness. Despite having a potential to cause one, false unicorn is used by some women following miscarriages as a balancing herb. There are also reports of women taking it after coming off birth control.  False Unicorn contains a mix of saponins that can cause vomiting at high doses, but it is generally considered easy on the stomach to most people in the proper amounts, and has traditionally been used to mitigate nausea. It is also reported to increase urination, and it has even been used in some remedies for intestinal parasites.

The roots are the part of the plant that are used, and they are typically taken as a decoction or powdered and encapsulated. A typical does of the root is about 1-3g.  It can also be made into a tincture, which is taken 3 times per day.

Diplopterys Lucida (Malpighiaceae) seeds

Diplopterys Lucida is another extremely rare member of the Malpighiaceae family, which contains banisteriopsis caapi and diplopterys cabrerana. We have seen these seeds also referred to as banisteriopsis lucida, but they are more commonly listed as a diplopterys species. The seeds look similar to those of diplopterys caberana that we have seen with the augmented tip at the base of the wing. Based on our experience and some research, this is more of a characteristic associated with diplopterys. This is the first species of the genus that we have been able to offer. There are some botanical references to this plant available, but there is very limited written about it. We are very excited to bring this plant to the forefront for those of you who enjoy researching new species. We are also offering banisteriopsis rusbyana newly along with these.

Growing Information: We have no established growing information on this particular species, but it can be assumed they would follow similar growing techniques to banisteriopsis caapi. Bury the seed head at the bottom of the wing, leaving about half the wing buried.  Keep moist but not to wet. Germination typically takes several weeks, so maintain moisture and be patient. We are selling these seeds fresh and for a limited time. We cannot replace or refund for any seeds that fail to grow.

Banisteriopsis Rusbyana (Rubyana Yage / Caapi) seeds

Banisteriopsis Rusbyana is one of the newest members of the malpighiaceae family that we had an opportunity to offer. This relative to banisteriopsis caapi is so rare that there is currently very little known or published. Online, it is sometimes listed as banisteriopsis rubyana. But it does appear in literature at banisteriopsis rusbyana. Rusbyana is also the name our source uses.  Christian Ratsch has described rusbyana as a synonym for diploptery cabrerana in his encyclopedia. However, we believe that to be a mistake based on the appearance of the seeds. The seeds certainly look more like those of banisteriopsis caapi, and even more like those of banisteriopsis muricata. They look different than diplopterys cabrerana seeds we have seen before, which look closer to the diplopterys lucida seeds we also have available. We have long been trying to help sort out the differences in several malpighiaceae vines. When you see one so rare that even the experts are unsure, it certainly deserves further investigation. We have pictures of the mature plants where they were harvested, and we hope this will open some new doors to information. We look forward to these being grown, studied and written about.

Carnegiea Gigantea var. Monstrose (Giant Saguaro Cactus) Seeds

This is the rare monstrose form of the traditionally columnar Giant Saguaro cactus. Monstrose cacti are highly collectible mutated cacti which have very irregular rib growth. This can result in fan-shaped cresting, frequent and irregular branching and morphing of the overall shape as time progresses. Monstrose cacti can sell for high value among cactus collectors.  Aside from the rarity, monstrose cacti are fun to watch grow over time. They are a genetic grab bag, and cacti from the same batch can often come out differently from each other.

When the average American thinks of a cactus, he or she probably pictures a giant saguaro with a central column and two arms. This Sonoran desert cactus is symbolic of the southwestern U.S. and its huge white blooms have been adopted as the state flower of Arizona. To see saguaros in their natural grandeur you can visit places like Saguaro National Park. Much of the fascination with the saguaro probably comes from its impressive stature, which towers thirty-five to even fifty feet in height at maturity, making it the largest cactus in the United States. Despite its size, saguaro is actually very slow-growing, and it takes about 150 years for a cactus to reach its full size and 40 years flower. A forty-year-old cactus is actually not too old when you consider that saguaros exist that are 200 years in age. The fruit of the saguaro can be eaten as it was by members of the Pima and Papagos tribes and the fruit and syrup from the cactus can be used to make alcoholic beverages. The saguaro is a favorite among cactus collectors, although wild harvest of the cactus has been made illegal. Its slow growth and the low survival rate of seedlings in the harsh desert environment make it hard for the species to compete against the demand by cactus collectors. According to estimates, a mature cactus can produce up to ten million seeds in a single year, yet it is likely that not one will make it into a stable plant. Fortunately, it grows quickly and easily from seed in cultivation and is relatively easy to maintain. We offer

Sceletium Tortuosum (Kanna) Fermented Herb WHOLE

Kanna should not be combined with MAOI’s or SSRI’s . NO SALES TO LOUISIANA. (Contact us if you have an approved use.)

Sceletium Tortuosum (Kanna) – LIVE Plant Seedling

We have a limited amount of seed-grown kanna plants. These are grown from our seed stock under our Electric Sky ES180 lights. Our kanna seedlings are about 8-12  months from seed.

Growing from seed is great for plant enthusiasts who enjoy a little bit of a challenge, but cuttings will root rather easily for growers with less patience or confidence. Plants prefer a well-draining, sandy soil, which should be watered when it has dried out a bit. A commercial cactus mix or a mixture of compost, sand and perlite will work well. Sceletium can be fertilized occasionally, but does not particularly require it.

Capsicum Chinense (Chocolate Carolina Reaper Pepper) Seeds

The Chocolate Reaper is in the lineage of the Carolina Reaper and packs the same mouth-scorching heat. The “chocolate” in the name simply refers to the brown color. But do not let the color deceive you. After all, brown is the color of burnt, which is what your tongue will be like when it encounters the Chocolate Reaper!

The Carolina Reaper was rated the hottest pepper on earth on August 7th of 2013 after extensive testing done at Winthrop University over the previous two years.  This devilishly hot pepper was originally known as HP22BNH7, and it was the result of 32 years of planning by Ed Currie who set out on this goal after a discussion in his college dorm room in 1981.  Many people still associate the Ghost Pepper as being the hottest pepper in the world when in reality there are several hotter peppers, including the Trinidad Scorpion Moruga, Trinidad Scorpion ‘Butch T’, the Infinity Pepper and the Naga Viper.  The mean average Scoville heat rating for the Carolina Reaper pepper is 1,569,300. This compares to a peak rating of 1,041,427 Scoville units for the Ghost pepper. The Carolina Reaper can peak at more than double this number, coming in at over 2,200,000 SHU.  So ultimately, even the weakest Carolina Reaper pepper is hotter than the best Ghost pepper. The Carolina Reaper has an intensity that is more comparable to pepper spray, which increases over the first eight minutes following contact.  The inside of dried Carolina Reaper peppers are known to have globs of dark red pepper oil that resemble pure chili extract.  The Carolina Reaper makes the habanero look like a jalapeno, and even those who have tried the ghost pepper realize they are in a different league when it comes to the hottest pepper in the world.  But what seems to make the Carolina reaper a true element of torture is that the pain persists fully for as much as an hour. There is no tapping out from this one. Even milk does little to sooth the burn. Your gums will burn with the rest of your mouth. But you will be able to look back proudly and say that you’ve eaten the hottest pepper in the world….until the next record is set.  World Seed Supply is proud to offer these genuine Carolina Reaper seeds as part of our collection of extremely hot pepper seeds. Please refer to our pepper growing guide at the bottom link for Carolina Reaper cultivation tips.

Passiflora Umbilicata (Andean Passion Flower) Seeds

Passilfora Umbilicata is a rare temperate species of passion flower, native to Argentina and Bolivia, with medicinal and ornamental use. Like most passifloras, the flowers are ornate, with lavender to purple petals and bright yellow stamens that are pollinated by bees. But umbilicata is considered prized even amongst the other members in its genus for astonishing blooms that can be a big as 6” in diameter! Hardy between zones 8-11, this fast-growing climber can sometimes withstand temperatures right above the freezing line. Older and established plants are more likely to withstand colder temperature, and grafting to hardier passifloras such as passiflora caerulea or incarnata is sometime able to extend that ability. Passilfora Umbilicata  vines will typically reach as long as 16 feet, and they do have a preference for high altitudes as is the habitat they come from. But they have also been grown in cultivation.  Germination is slow and erratic, taking as long as 6-12 months, which is actually common with a lot of warm climate plants.  Dormancy is obviously a factor in proliferation, which is a factor in their rarity, and ultimately their esteem, to begin with. But it also has a benefit in nature to prevent the seed from germinating too soon. Passilfora Umbilicata does produce a small edible fruit, and the leaves are used as a gastrointestinal remedy. There is a chance it may also have sedative effects like other passilfora species, but chemical analysis of this species is lacking.

Growing Information: Passiflora Umbilicata seeds  are stubborn and erratic by nature. To help give them a good start, soak them for 42-78 hours in warm water. It is said that using passion fruit juice following the soak can help reduce the germination time. You can also substitute with orange or apple juice. Often, fruit seeds are processed through animals’ digestive tracts, and that aids in germination. This step may be related to that both in terms of the acidity and because the fermentation can help leech out germination inhibitors. Vinegar soaks are also used in germinating other seeds as a way to mimic this process, so it might be effective to try a 12-24 hour vinegar soak as well. If fermentation is a factor, raw apple cider vinegar might be an ideal fit. For long-germination seeds, a more sterile medium like river sand can be good to help provide constant moisture with a less favorable environment for mold or bacteria. The coarse texture of sand may also help scarify the seed, which is usually beneficial to do with stubborn seeds as it helps water penetrate the seed coat more easily. The plants also do prefer a neutral ph. Sow your passiflora umbilicata seeds about an 1/8-1/4” deep and be sure to keep the medium constantly moist without drying out or becoming soggy. Another favorite medium is coconut coir mixed with a little bit of perlite. The coir is a lot like peat moss, except it is more renewable, and usually made from byproducts of the coconut industry. The coir is airy and light. Seedling roots travel easily through the soft, oxygenated environment, and it does not provide an ideal food for molds or bacteria as soil might. Coir is also very absorbent, so it retains the water rather than letting the medium become soggy. Passiflora umbilicata seeds like to be in 100% humidity. You can use a plastic bag to cover the container, but it has to be aired out daily. You can opt to put your seedling container inside another storage bin or Tupperware instead of plastic wrap. Leave enough space that the air does not get stale, and then you can easily fan with the lid for fresh air. A layer of moistened perlite in the bottom of the outer container bin, with your seedling container resting on top of the perlite layer and the lid over the outer bin to seal everything, can also help raise the humidity if the soil medium does not provide enough humidity on its own. You can also use an Led light fogger or ultrasonic humidifier if you wanted to go all out because they allow more air exchange with the added humidity. But keep in mind you’ll be waiting quite some time for these to sprout. Temperature fluctuations will also help the germination process. You can accomplish this with a heat mat or propagator or by the timing of your lights depending on the type of light you use.  Some growers fluctuate daily to mimic the day’s natural fluctuations while others will alternate weeks of high and higher temperatures.

Phalaris Arundinacea (Reed Canary Grass) “Big Medicine” – Seed Heads

These are whole seed heads from the so-called “Big Medicine” strain of reed canary grass. These are grown in proximity to the Yugp Red plants. Seed can contain a bit more genetic variability than clones, so we also do offer clones of Big Medicince and Yugo Red Phalaris Arundinacea. The Big Medicine and Yugo Red varieties of Reed Canary grass are believed to be more beneficial as a grazing grass due to a lower content of the alkaloid gramine, something present in the plant which could be harmful to certain livestock. It has attractive pinkish red seed heads that make it an ideal ornamental grass. Given good rich soil and plenty of water, this grass will grow like crazy. As the clump is grown out, its rhizomes will spread, sending out genetically identical plants. Any seeds that come about will usually produce plants with similar, but not genetically identical traits. We purchased our original plants several years back. This is a very rare product, but we are offering the public a a chance to collect these normally private genetics. This product is intended for serious botanical collectors only who can appreciate this rarity.

Each item contains 5 Big Medicine seed heads. The menu says “pods” simply because we have that attribute set up for other listings. But each lot has five seed heads collected once they’ve dried on the plants.
