This special listing is for rare hybrid cactus seedling. We only have a very limited supply of these grown from past seed stock. These seeds are the product a bridgesii mother plant crossed with the pollen of a trichocereus pachanoi. This particular bridgesii is the “Dave Reynolds” variety, which is a a very nice example of the typical bridgesii. Trichocereus bridgesii is a Bolivian species related very closely to the San Pedro Cactus. It has much longer spines with a nice bluish-green stem and fewer ribs. Trichocereus pachanoi, also known as San Pedro Cactus, is the most common species in the genus. It is know for very small spines. Both species grow very fast. Intentionally hybridized caccti are highly sought-after by cactus collectors because of their rarity. Many hybrids also combine genetics of different species to form superior specimens that contain the more desirable qualities of both parents. Crossing presents the collector with endless possibilities. Average seedling size is 1-2″.
